![]() If you have an iso of a rare game, you can always use WinHiip to load it on the hard drive. Is there a list of compatible drives somewhere? I'd also have to buy a new HD since as you pointed out my FF XI drive won't work. But the problem is I don't think HD Loader can rip burnt CD's made from ISOs so that really won't help me. My whole reason for wanting to use HD Loader was to play fan translated imports and the occasional ultra rare PS2 game (not many of those though). Also, is it possible for me to install HDLoader 0.8c to one of the Free McBoot cards? Even better, I wonder if it's possible to install Free McBoot to the official hard disk, making it so the system loads into FmB even without a memory card attached? ![]() ![]() Some can save directly to the official disk, and FFXI needs to install to the official disk.Ĭan Free McBoot format the official disk without erasing the system browser that's on it? (erasing this means no HD access without a third party browser). However, as Tempest said, there are some games that can make use of the official hard disk. I still use Free McBoot and an unofficial hard disk with HDLoader. At the time, I did not have an official hard disk. Yep, you did make my first Free McBoot card. Or you can take the drive out and use WinHiip to transfer your games on the computer to the drive. Then you can put your PS2 games in it and copy it to the hard drive. Looking through my message archive, it appears that I did make Free McBoot card for you so it should have HD Loader on it. You can also make a new Free McBoot card that has ESR, HD Loader, SMS, etc on it. If you don't have HD Loader on the memory card, just run it off the USB stick. HD Loader will format the drive and then you can load your games on it. ![]() If you have Free McBoot, why don't you use HD Loader (part of the Free McBoot noobie package). Was there any other official use for the HD other then to play FFXI? ![]() I need the utility disc to format my official drive so that I can make use of it beyond just acting as a mega memory card. ![]()
